Kathy Mattea Speaks Out On Global Warming

Kathy Mattea has given 8 speeches all over the country since she attended Al Gore's training sessions for presenting the slide show on global warming which was presented in the recent documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." Mattea has committed to doing at least 10 presentations annually on global warming for Al Gore. Kathy Mattea is quite the experienced speaker, having taught at Boston's Berkeley College of Music as well as spoken at several other music-related workshops.


Question:
So many musicians/ entertainers are becoming more vocal with publicizing their opinions on environmental issues and politics- I don't know if I fully agree with that, does any one feel the same? What are some pros and cons of both?
