Collin Raye goes shopping
Collin Raye can't seem to find a good deal. The once country balladeer of the 1990's can't find a label for his latest single. The song, "A Soldier's Prayer", was actually produced by Teddy Gentry (the bassist for Alabama), and Michael Curtis. The song was gaining major momentum at radio, but negotiations with record labels fell through. Now the potential hit is somewhere in limbo. Raye says that the song doesn't have an agenda politically, but speaks on both sides of the fence whether you are conservative or liberal. This songs makes up an EP that will have a total of six songs on it. The single will be released sometime in the month of June. The proceeds that are made from sales of this album will be donated to the Wounded Warrior project that helps provide counseling, supplies, family assistance, and adaptive sports programs for injured soldiers.
