An American Icon Bids Farewell

Bob Barker is to gameshow hosts as Bob Hope was to comedy and Johnny Carson was to late night talkshows. Sadly, Bob Barker has officially bowed out of "The Price is Right". The last episode that he hosted will air on June 15th. People wanted to be a part of history, as many actually camped outside the studio so that they could be first in line for Bob's last show. If you were like me, growing up watching television in the morning always had to include "The Price is Right". There were tons of gameshows that had great games, but there were not really any at all that had the appeal of great games and a great host, "The Price is Right" is one of them. Whoever the new host is, it is going to take a long time to fill the shoes of Bob Barker. There is a rumor it might be George Hamilton. Let's hope not! I don't have anything against Mr. Hamilton, but don't we see him enough on t.v. already? Mmmmm. Toasted.
